Common questions from guests
This page helps answer common questions about reservations, available plans, kimono styles, premium options, makeup services, tea ceremony, and photoshoot experiences.
Useful before booking
Please check our FAQ before your visit if you want to know more about timing, service details, location, or what is included in each plan.
Do I need to make a reservation in advance?
We recommend making a reservation in advance, especially during weekends, peak seasons, cherry blossom season, summer festivals, or if you would like to book Japanese-style makeup, tea ceremony, photoshoot, early morning service, or Night Plan.
Advance booking helps us prepare staff, kimono, makeup, and photography service carefully for your visit.
What is included in the basic kimono rental plan?
The basic kimono rental plan usually includes kimono rental, obi belt, sandals, Japanese socks, traditional bag, professional kimono dressing, hairstyling, and hair accessories.
Please note that Japanese-style makeup, professional photoshoot, tea ceremony, and premium kimono upgrades are available as separate plans or options.
Is hairstyling included?
Yes. Most kimono rental plans include hairstyling and hair accessories.
For more detailed or special hairstyles, please contact us in advance.
Is Japanese-style makeup included?
Japanese-style makeup is included only in selected plans, such as the Japanese Makeup Plan or Premium Cultural Experience Plan.
If you book a kimono rental plan only, makeup is not included unless stated in the plan details.
Can I choose a premium kimono?
Yes. We offer premium kimono options such as Homongi and Furisode.
Premium kimono is recommended for tea ceremony, photoshoots, couples, anniversaries, and special memories in Tokyo.
What is the difference between Homongi and Furisode?
Homongi is an elegant and refined kimono, often recommended for tea ceremony and a graceful Japanese cultural experience.
Furisode is a luxurious long-sleeved kimono, perfect for special occasions, premium photoshoots, couples, anniversaries, and memorable travel photos.
How long does the whole experience take?
Kimono dressing usually takes around 10–30 minutes, depending on the kimono type and how busy the shop is.
If you add Japanese-style makeup, tea ceremony, or professional photoshoot, please allow additional time.
Can we come as a couple or group?
Yes. We welcome couples, friends, families, and group reservations.
For groups, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can prepare enough staff and kimono.
How long can I keep the kimono?
Standard kimono rental is usually for same-day return by 18:00.
Night Plan rentals are available until 22:00. Next-day return may also be available depending on the plan and reservation situation.
What happens if I return the kimono late?
Late returns may incur additional fees.
Please return the kimono on time or contact us in advance if you need flexibility.
Do you offer luggage storage?
Yes. We provide free carry-on baggage storage during your kimono experience.
Please note that space is limited. If you have large suitcases, we recommend contacting us in advance. Please keep valuables with you.
What should I bring?
You do not need to bring anything special for a standard kimono rental.
During winter, we recommend wearing thermal underwear with a wide neckline that does not show from the kimono. Please avoid high-neck innerwear.
Can I wear makeup before visiting?
Yes. You may come with light skincare or sunscreen.
If you have sensitive skin, allergies, or prefer to use your own cosmetics, please bring them and inform our staff in advance.
Is the tea ceremony suitable for beginners?
Yes. Our tea ceremony experience is suitable for beginners and international visitors.
You can enjoy matcha, Japanese wagashi sweets, and a peaceful cultural moment while wearing kimono.
Can I book tea ceremony with kimono?
Yes. Tea ceremony can be enjoyed together with kimono rental.
We especially recommend pairing tea ceremony with Homongi, Japanese-style makeup, and photoshoot for a more complete Japanese cultural experience.
What happens if it rains?
Kimono rental is still available on rainy days.
Rainy weather can also create a beautiful and atmospheric Japanese-style photo experience. Please contact us if you would like to adjust your photoshoot schedule.
Do you support English?
Yes. English-speaking staff are available.
For smooth communication, we recommend contacting us via LINE before your visit.
How does the ¥1,000 online discount work?

This offer does not apply to Night Plan or some special plans.
What happens if the kimono becomes dirty or damaged?
Please enjoy your kimono experience carefully.
If the kimono is lightly dirty from normal use, there is usually no problem. However, additional cleaning or repair fees may apply for significant stains, damage, tears, burns, or other serious conditions.
What happens if accessories are lost or damaged?
Additional charges may apply if kimono accessories such as obi belts, bags, sandals, hair accessories, or other rental items are lost or seriously damaged.
Please take care of all rental items during your experience.
Can I eat or drink while wearing kimono?
Yes. However, please be careful with food, drinks, makeup, and sharp objects to avoid stains or damage to the kimono.
We especially recommend caution with wine, coffee, curry, sauces, and oily foods.
What should I do if it rains during my kimono rental?

Please be careful when walking outside during rain to avoid excessive dirt or water damage. Traditional umbrellas may also be available for photos depending on availability.
Will I be charged for normal kimono wear during use?
No. Small wrinkles or normal wear from walking and regular use are completely fine.
Additional fees are usually only required for serious stains, damage, loss, or improper handling.
